SEED TIME
According to the word of God in Eccl 3:[1] :
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:“
[2] “A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted”.
Seed time is the time of planting by putting one’s seed in the ground – a well prepared ground.
The first connection with the seed by every planter of the seed – and justifiably too, is that the planter expects a harvest.
Bringing this scenario to you, have you been known over the years to be sowing good seeds into the lives of other people? :
Helping the helpless.
Relieving the pains of others.
Assisting the oppressed out of oppression.
And
Bearing the burdens on other people.
And does it look as if the harvest time of your good deeds are not forthcoming as you expect?
Despair not. Please be encouraged as you encourage yourself in the Lord : for your own appointed time to be remembered shall come.
I will encourage you with the fact of life about the Chinese Bamboo Tree :
The Chinese Bamboo Tree falls into the class of one of the most unique and classical cases of life we must all learn something from.
A Chinese Bamboo Tree takes 5 years to grow with very good daily watering in a ground that is very good. This must be done consistently every day for 5 years.
In those 5 years, the tree does not break through the ground.
After 5 years of watering and nurturing, the tree will break through the ground, suddenly growing 90 feet tall in just 5 weeks.
Just imagine, doing in 5 weeks, what it took 5 years to prepare and process!
There are times that the life of a man could be likened to this scenario above.
Note that the time between sowing and harvest could be so short or could be quite long, depending on the type of seed that has been sown, the environment in which the seed was sown, and the type of harvest that is on the way.
Tomorrow God willing, we shall be looking at : waiting period before the harvest matures up in the life of a man
Always remember : the reward of doing good is great, if you can wait –
Gal 6:[9] And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Good day to you 👍
