*Some things may just not make common sense to us as human beings, yet, they are the truth, and are damn factual about life.*
*One of such is this :*
*”For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more in abundance : but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away, even that which he has.”*
*The quoted verse above was taken from the gospel according to Saint Matthew, chapter 25 and verse 29.*
*Someone asked : “what is the justification for the statement above?”*
*The person asking the question felt it was illogical and quite irrational, in the context of fairness, to have this kind of situation operating in the midst of men.*
*The quoted statement above may sound not too fair to a lot of minds, but remember that it was made by no less a person but our Lord Jesus Christ. The statement is therefore highly pragmatic and a true reflection of the realities of life – nobody engages a failure in the serious business of life, no matter the fields : secular or spiritual.*
*Infact, when Jesus made a similar statement earlier in :*
*Matthew 13: [12] “For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath”.*
*It was said to open up the imagination of the disciples to a new realm of REVELATION that they needed to pay attention to :*
*Matthew 13: [10] “And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?”*
*[11] “He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given”.*
*[12]”For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath”.*
*[13]”Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand”.*
*May I shock you on the strength of the revelation embedded in this verse of our discussion to say this : _”NOT even God engages a failure who is devoid of diligence, dedication and determination, and who will not get involved in meaningful engagements assigned to his care”_.*
*You can’t find any character in the entire Bible – from Genesis to Revelation that fits into this picture, none.*
*Looking at the justification for the statement : “taking from him who has little and giving such to someone who has more”, please note the following facts and realities of life :*
*1) The individual that is to be given more has demonstrated that he understands the principle of added responsibility. That has played out in increased capacity for utilization as shown by the result of progress, success and advancement.*
*2) Take a second look at the parable of the talents where our statement of discussion came from : someone was given 5 talents, and he succeeded in gaining 5 more. By this, he has demonstrated a better grasp of the environment, and deeper understanding of what is to be done, than someone who never engaged his own talent, therefore lacking in experience and exposure, including what operates in the business environment. So, in the use of the one extra talent in question, he who has succeeded more is better suited to utilize such a talent.*
