Barely 24 hours to the kick-off of the nationwide campaign on Saturday for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ondo State Deputy Governor Dr Olayide Adelami has rallied all members of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state to commit themselves to the campaign in the overall interest of all Nigerians.

He specifically tasked the APC members across all the wards in the state to embark on door to door campaign statewide and work tirelessly for the victory of the President and the party in the forthcoming general elections, stressing what he described as President Tinubu’s wonderful and superlative performance in office so far.

Adelami, who spoke passionately, gave the charge on Friday while addressing party members during the APC ward meetings at Igboroko 1 Ward 2 and Igboroko 2 Ward 3 in his Owo hometown.

Stressing  what he described as the landmark achievements of President Tinubu, and the unprecedented record of the APC in critical areas of the economy, he charged the party members to embark on vigorous campaign and impress it on the people to choose progress over retrogression based on Tinubu’s record of achievements so far which he said surpasses that of any former President or Head of State.

In his words, “The President has taken some bold steps to make life better for our people in his first term.

“The student loans for our young ones has made education easier and more available to children of the poor.

“The money saved from the removal of fuel subsidy is being put back into the economy especially at the sub-national level. It is in our best interest to give the President our votes so that he can finish the good work he has started”.

Adelami charged leaders of the party to embark on a house-to-house campaign to further deepen the renewed hope message of the current administration.

He reiterated that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has expressly directed all APC leaders and members to deliver overwhelming votes for the president and every candidate of the party in the state.

Also speaking at Igboroko 1 Ward 2, a former commissioner for women affairs and social development in Ondo state, Dr. Yemi Mahmoud, thanked the governor and his deputy for appointing political leaders from Owo into the state executive council and other portfolios within the government.

She expressed the readiness of the party leaders to go all out to mobilize massively for the APC.

Similarly, Chief Jamiu Ekungba, who spoke at Igboroko 2 Ward 3, charged the leaders to give their maximum support to the governor and his deputy to enable them record resounding victory for the president and the party.

Ward meetings were held on Friday across the state to prepare the ground for the campaign season for the 2027 general elections.
