The Nigerian Consensus and Awareness for Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027, an All Progressives Congress (APC) support group, has named the deputy governor of Ondo state, Dr. Olayide Adelami, as the Most Outstanding Deputy Governor of the Year 2026.
The group, comprising party stalwarts, top professionals and other eminent Nigerians, is an APC-approved support group for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Presenting the award on Friday, the Director of Mobilisation and Legal Adviser, Prof. Lucky Worika, said Dr. Adelami’s unblemished record in public service, his commitment to the promotion of good governance and long-standing support for the APC are the basis for the honor.
According to him, “this award is presented in acknowledgement of your contributions to humanity and political mobilization of masses support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027.
“This recognition is particularly made for being such a highly patriotic and distinguished leader, having served with unblemished integrity in the civil service of the Nigerian Federation and now as the most outstanding Deputy Governor in South west Nigeria”.
He further disclosed that Dr Adelami’s cordial relationship with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has contributed to political stability in the state, noting that “his conduct stood out in an environment where disagreements over power often lead to crisis”
In his reaction, Dr Adelami expressed his appreciation to the group for the recognition and commended the members for their commitment to the re-election campaign of President Tinubu.
The deputy governor dedicated the award to his principal, Governor Aiyedatiwa, for providing the platform through which he contributes his quota to the development of the state, in particular, and the country in general.
“I accept this recognition with gratitude, a renewed commitment to service and unflinching support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu” He said.
Dr Adelami lauded the President’s audacious courage in taking tough decisions on behalf of Nigerians to reform the economy and lay a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
He called on all support groups across the country to intensify their mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general election to secure an overwhelming victory for President Tinubu.
