Ondo recommits to prudent  public resources management, sustainable infrastructural development

Ondo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro

Ondo State Government has recommited itself to prudent public resources management, and sustainable infrastructural development.

It reiterated this during a one day seminar workshop organized by the state’s Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in conjunction with the state’s  Bureau of Public Procurement
for the Local Government Directors of Works, Quantity Surveyors and Procurement Officers.

According to a statement by the ministry’s spokesman, Mr Bisi Agboola, the programme was designed to strengthen professionalism, accountability and efficiency within the local government system in Ondo State.

Making the recommitment on behalf of the state government is the  Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr 0ladele Adesanmi.

Specifically, the commissioner stressed the need to keep the key career officers abreast of the modern techniques ln procurement to safe cost and uphold the international standard

Takuro  pointed out that the 0ur Ease agenda of the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa administration give priority to effective service delivery.

He commended the 0ndo State Bureau of Public Procurement for coming up with such vital seminar workshop to fortifu the local government officials for necessary updates

The resource persons, including Mr Bunmi Akinsemola and Mr Amos 0kudalaye from the Ondo State Bureau of Public Procurement emphasized the need for professionals to follow the modern trend for balance result

They affirmed that with relevant equipment, operations will be easier, adding that Guide to Excel will always lead to accurate solution when the method is followed sequentially.

The permanent Secretary of the Local Government Service Commission, Dr Bayo llawole; Director Local Government Affairs in the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Mr Eric Apata; and all the Directors in the state’s 18 councils attended the seminar.
