*Success is in categories, just as wealth is in classifications.*
*Yes, wealth is in classifications, and it will surprise you that God, the Creator of Heaven and the Earth is interested in our being doing well and becoming wealthy through genuine and honest means :*
*Deut 8:18 “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day”.*
*Going forward, just consider the following classifications of wealth holding and let what you know of the classifications inform and enlighten your heart about your expectations and desires in life :*
*1) THE DESTITUTE: The least level of life survival class is the destitute level.*
*A destitute person is someone who lacks the basic necessities of life survival, such as : food, shelter, clothing, healthcare.*
*Destitution often results from a combination of factors such as disengagement,dislocation, famine, war, etc. The destitute often results to begging or stealing to survive.*
*1 Samuel 2:8 : He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the _beggar from the dunghill_, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.*
*The destitute level is a very depraved condition for any man to be in.*
*2) THE POOR :*
*The poor are individuals with very limited means and resources to meet their basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, healthcare, and education.*
*Poverty can be as a result of nil or poor or low income or earning power that is outrightly insufficient for one’s survival. The poor may or may not result into begging for his survival.*
*Psalms 82:3 : “Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and _needy_.*”
*3) THE COMFORTABLE :*
*The comfortable refers to individuals who have satisfactory access to the means of survival. Their standard of living is sufficiently adequate for their needs and necessities.*
*In this case, the head of the Comfortable is above the waters of life.*
*Their basic needs are met without stress, ie, food, shelter, clothing, healthcare,and education. The comfortable may not be in luxury, and at the same time he may NOT be able to lend a helping hand towards the survival of others as much as others assume he should.*
*4) THE RICH :*
*The rich are individuals who possess a significant amount of resources, often exceeding their own basic needs.*
*Proverbs 22:7: The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.*
*Because of the placement level of the rich, extra means and resources are available, but such are often replowed back into other investments in order to keep escaping the poverty level around him.*
*Tomorrow God willing, we shall be looking at the three remaining classifications of wealth.*
