How much are you really worth?
*Today, I think you should answer for yourself how much really is your self worth.*
*Please take a cue from the following references :*
*To Jacob, despite having 11 other children, Joseph was worth as much as his beloved son :*
*Genesis 37:[3] Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.*
*To Judas Ischariot, despite seeing him performing miracles, signs and wonders, including raising the dead back to life, Jesus Christ was worth just as much as an item to be bargained for sales on cash and carry basis :*
*Matthew 26:[15] And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.*
*As far as Judas Ischariot could see, despite the title of “Jesus, the Son of God” attached to his Master, he could only see Him as someone to be commercialized and sold for money – all valued at thirty pieces of silver, which he wanted to gain and expend!*
*To Delilah, Samson was only worth being captured and tortured as a war criminal and battle miscreant :*
*Judges 16: [4] And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.*
*[5]And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.*
*[6]And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.*
*This was Samson who was a one man Battalion for the nation of Israel – going everywhere and conquering the enemies of his people, yet to a woman somewhere who placed no value on him, the life of Samson was only worth 1,100 pieces of silver.*
*To the brothers of Joseph, Joseph was only worth 20 pieces of silver – a family nuisance that should be disposed off :*
*Gen 37:[23]And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;*
*[28]Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.*
*To the wife of his master, Mrs Portiphar, Joseph was only worth a bed partner, to be harassed into doing it either he likes it or not, no more, no less :*
*Gen 39: [7 ]And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.*
*[8]But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;*
*[10]And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.*
*To Mary Margdalene, Jesus was worth……*
