What will you be remembered for as a leader in your own cubicle?

Lack of stomach infrastructure won’t allow some Leaders and or Politicians to stay and build a Party to stardom.

Most of our modern Leaders/Politicians are looking for “Olorunsogo Party or Position” to win Elections.

They don’t want to suffer for Party’s growth. This is why Politicians who waited for long and persevere in hard times in their Political Parties should not allow Parasite Politicians to join them to scatter their Parties because of money.

Chiefs Obafemi Awolowo, Adekunle Ajasin, and Reuben Fasoranti built the A.G and UPN from the scratch just like Governor Dr.Mimiko built Labour Party from the scratch to higher level. Some Politicians of the First and Second Republics built the  NPN, SDP, APGA and PRP to National level.

Today, we have many Political-Monkey-like-Party-jumpers especially when their Parties lost out in elections, they jumped.

We are also aware of some Politicians that obtained Presidential and Governorship Senate/House of Representatives Forms only to become SSA Environmental, SSA Labour Unions and SSA Road Constructions etc.

It is not their faults but,for “Ise Ori Ran Mi” aided by Destiny which we all understand to be “AYANMO o gboogun,Ori lelejo” in Yoruba Idiomatic expression.

If Governments find it very difficult to create jobs for people, what else do you want people to do rather than to form different political Associations just to make ends meet?

If in one State, a Governor could appoint over 450 SSAs, just to keep them busy for elections, why will people not abandon their Professions for Politics at hungry or rainy times?

Usually, they will say as it is common in Religious Calling that it was God or their People that called them to come and serve so, it is in Politics.

They have listening ears to the calling of their people to come and serve and when they are elected, they block their ears and eyes to do good things for their people.

If you listen to how People are calling and begging their Governors, Local Goveremt Chairmen, Senatorial and Ward Representatives on Radio for assistance to mend roads, supply electricity, reduce cost of Government facilities and School fees all to no avail.

Call some leaders, they won’t pick calls. Message them, they won’t reply. They claim to be too busy and above the people they are serving.

The ears and eyes that heard the Calls to come and serve when they were begging the People have been blocked because of nonchalant and arrogant posture of the people called leaders. This is not the way of the “Man after God’s Own Heart” should behave.

This is the “Ikorita meta tii daamu Alejo that Nigerians have found themselves.

Kudos and Credit must be given to leaders who upon assuming the position of authority, know where the shoe pinches the people. Such leaders like Governor Olusegun Mimiko did, will send his workers to meet each Community to select three different Projects of their choice.

The People responded and he touched their Communities with one project or the other. He came to the State Capital and other big towns to build Projects that affect the welfare of the people such as School Shuttle Buses, Street Lights, Hospitals, Schools, Roads etc. The rains of mercy fell on the Citizens while his wife, a humble and gentle Governor’s wife I’ve ever seen was doing fabulous things for the women all over the State.

The Christians and Muslims were not left out. During their time, a Messiah came to Ondo State.

If as at today, we could still feel the impact of Chiefs Obafemi Awolowo, Adekunle Ajasin,  Adebayo Adefarati, Dr Olusegun Agagu, and Dr.Olusegun Mimiko in Ondo State when Federal allocation and internally generated incomes were low, we should give them kudos for jobs well done. Their labours are not in vain.

The present Governments are trying but, we are expecting the high level performance from our Federal and State Governments better than their predecessors and God shall make it possible before the end of their tenures in Jesus Name.

Since it is true to walk towards the Perfect Man Jesus,

Job 1:1
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Psalms 37:37
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

2 Timothy 3:17
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Then,we must remember:
Ecclesiastes 7:1
A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.

This should be our “Watchword” in life and in whatever position we may find ourselves as leaders. Politicians are not the Leaders we are referring to here. It os everyone of us in our own little cubicle either as Traditional Rulers, Ministers of God, Top Civil and Public Servants, Leader of Unions, Judiciary, President, Governors, Ministers, Commissioners, GMs/CEOs, Families,  Associations etc. We are under the watchful eyes of God Almighty. One day, we shall all account for our Stewardship in life.

Let me sing one of my old Radio/TV Signature Tune of my Programmes to end this Article:
Lyric: Rere ni un o fi se 2ce o, Akoko mi t’Oluwa funmi, Rere ni un o fi se”.
