The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has fixed April 28 to 30, 2026, for the written examination of applicants in the ongoing constable recruitment exercise.
Applicants seeking enlistment into the Nigeria Police have also been warned to beware of fraudsters attempting to exploit the recruitment process.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Osun State Command, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, who disclosed that the examination for Osun State applicants will hold at Osun State University, Oke-Baale, Osogbo.
According to the statement, only candidates who successfully passed the earlier physical and credentials screening are eligible to participate in the examination.
Applicants were advised to visit the official recruitment portal, www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng�, from April 24, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Cards, which contain details of their specific date, time, and venue.
The command further noted that some applicants earlier scheduled for April 27 should revisit the portal, following a slight adjustment in the timetable.
Candidates who have not received notifications were also urged to check the website and print their invitation letters.
To ensure a hitch-free exercise, the commission outlined mandatory requirements for candidates, including a pen, National Identification Number (NIN) slip with a clear photograph, and the printed examination invitation card.
Applicants are also expected to appear in white shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas.
Reiterating its commitment to transparency, the PSC stressed that the recruitment process is entirely free and warned against any form of job racketeering or financial inducement.
“The recruitment process is free. Any attempt to induce officials or patronize fraudsters will be met with the full force of the law,” the statement warned.
The police, therefore, urged all applicants to comply strictly with the guidelines and remain vigilant throughout the exercise.
