Osun Amotekun Commander warns criminals to stay off, bags award

Commander of the Amotekun Corps in Osun State, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi (retd) has warned criminals to stay off the state as he stressed the readiness of his officers and men to flush them out.

He gave the warning in Osogbo at a ceremony he was decorated with an award of “Who is Who of Africa” by Africa Magazine.

According to him, the effective partnership with relevance security agencies and support of the public will go a long way in achievimg a desired goal in the area of peace in the state.

Adewinmbi described the award as a new challenge for him personally to put on more efforts to fight crime in the sate adding that the job of crime prevention, detection and protection is a joint responsibility.

He added that with the award, Osun Amotekun under his watch has received a strong boost to do more in protecting the lives and properties of the people of Osun State

He also restated its commitment to ending insecurity across the local governments in the state.

Presenting the award to the Amotekun Corps Commander on behalf of Time Africa Magazine, the publisher, Mr Ifeanyi Collins explained that Brig.-Gen Adewinmbi’s track record of bravery and philanthropy earned him the award.

Collins enjoined the recipient not to relent in his efforts in ensuring sustainable peace in the state.
