*Each day of our living, we should not just grow by adding to our days and age, rather we should grow by adding to the virtues and values that our lives can bring to other people around us.*
*Growing in value will make you more useful to your generation and set you apart for distinction.*
*There is no doubt about it, age is valuable, after all, the Word of God says :*
*Psalms 90: [12] So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.*
*But we must all realize that the value in age must be one that is able to make positive impact not because of the number of days counted for a particular head, but the values derivable therein from such a head.*
*Infact, God in His infinite Wisdom agrees with this position. His Word says in 2 Peter 1: 5-9 :*
*[5]And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;*
*[6]And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;*
*[7]And to Godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.*
*[8]For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.*
*[9]But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.*
*To everyone of us reading this, from your age should come maturity.*
*With maturity should come experience.*
*With experience should come exposure.*
*With exposure should come performance.*
*And with performance should come knowledge and skills.*
*Let age add experience and exposure to your life, so that you can become what you are meant and designed to become by your Maker.*
*Again, don’t let each year add age to you alone, rather you should add critical values, like :*
*Commitment,*
*Focus,*
*Discipline and,*
*Dedication with your age, which will in turn add value to your life, and the lives of other people that come across your path. This is the essence of maturing in time and space, indeed growing in grace and in impact.*
