The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has elected 1,660 delegates across the 332 wards of the state ahead of Saturday’s governorship primary election.
Chairman of the party’s Delegates Congress Committee, Engr. Shehu Umar Dange, announced the outcome on Tuesday at the state secretariat along Gbongan–Ibadan Road, Osogbo.
He explained that five delegates emerged from each of the 332 wards, making a total of 1,660 who will decide the party’s governorship candidate for the 2026 election.
“We have received the results of all the delegate congress coordinators across the 30 Local Government Areas and the Ife-East Area Office, Modakeke,” he said. “With the results before us, five delegates have been elected in each of the 332 wards across the state. These 1,660 delegates will vote in the upcoming governorship primary.”

Special thanks go to our leadership—the party leadership, the National Working Committee, and the National Executive Council—for finding us worthy to conduct this assignment. By the grace of Almighty God, we conducted the exercise peacefully and successfully without any issues,” Dange stated.
