The National Examinations Council has announced that the results of the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination will be released on Thursday, September 24.
The examination body disclosed this in a circular sighted by journalists on Tuesday, stating that the results would be unveiled at 11am at its headquarters on Km 8, Bida Road, Minna, Niger State.
The announcement followed a meeting of the 2026 SSCE Internal Award Committee chaired by the NECO Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, at the council’s headquarters.
The meeting was described by the council as part of the final preparations for the publication of the examination results.
NECO also confirmed the development in a post on its official X account, signalling the conclusion of the processes preceding the release.
The SSCE Internal examination is written annually by students in their final year of secondary education across the country.

This year’s examination commenced on June 15 and ended on July 23, 2026.
The release of the results will enable candidates, schools and other stakeholders to access their performance in the examination and proceed with subsequent academic arrangements.
