The family of the departed Afenifere Leader, Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti has announced his burial plans showing that his remains will be buried on December 17, 2026.
According to the programme of activities signed on behalf of his family by the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, and his son, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti:
“The family of Late Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, CFR, is pleased to announce the burial arrangements of our beloved patriarch, leader of Afenifere and foremost nationalist, who passed away at the age of 100 years.
”Burial arrangements are as follows:
”Christian Wake Keeping Service:
Wednesday, 16th December, 2026
Venue: His residence at Omolere Nursery and Primary School Compound.
Time: 4:00 p.m.
”Funeral Service & Interment
Thursday, 17th December, 2026
Venue: St. David’s Cathedral, Ijomu, Akure
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow immediately after the service at the Church Cemetery.
”Reception:
Guests will be entertained at his residence immediately after the interment.
”Outing & Thanksgiving Service
Sunday, 20th December, 2026
Venue: St. David’s Cathedral, Ijomu, Akure.
Time: 10a.m
