As we start the journey of this new month of November, let this truth of life keep ringing in your mind and in your head :
When God wants to grow a fellow and develop a person into a material and vessel He wants, he does any of these five things to the fellow :
1) HE SEPARATES HIM.
The scripture below confirms that :
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”.(2 Cor 6:17)
2) HE BREAKS HIM :
The scripture below confirms this :
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” (Ps 51:17)
3) HE TESTS HIM :
The scripture below confirms that :
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;”(James 1vs 2)
“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience” ( vs 3).
“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing”(vs 4).
4) HE REBUILDS HIM :
The scripture below confirms that :
“Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry”.(Jer 31:4).
And finally :
5) HE HUMBLES HIM :
The scripture below confirms that :
“And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.”(Deut 8:3)
I may not know which of these five categories you are facing in life.
But it is important you know this, and be encouraged by it :
You are not being destroyed or punished by your life experience.
You are only being developed into something awesome and great through the process.
The question therefore is – “are there worthy examples as our reference in each of these categories?”
Tomorrow God willing, we shall be looking at some of the ample examples of these categories in character moulding and development.
