The power of potential

Reflection for the day

By Olubunmi Adebayo

*A potential is the force of an existing possibility.*

*A dictionary defines it as “unrealized ability”.*

*Potential is anything that can become something unimaginable under appropriate conditions.*

*When you hold the seed of any plant in your hand, it is a possibility that can become anything.*

*The seed can fall off your hand into a hole and be swept away for life, not becoming anything.*

*At the same time, that same seed, when well planted can grow to become a tree, while under the right conditions, that one singular seed has the potential to become a plantation of trees – this is the power of possibility, which is what POTENTIAL is all about.*

*There is a potential in each human being that could become so unbelievably great. But we must all learn to deliver on our potentials, just like the seed in reference above.*

*For a seed to be converted to a tree and ultimately a forest, it must be planted and allowed to die first – am sure this may be surprising to many.*

*Hear what Jesus said about this :*
*John 12:[24]Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.*

*To achieve that “big thing” inside of you as we press forward in the journey of this second half of year 2026, you must pay attention to the following in order to turn your potentials to great success :*

*1) Stop seeing yourself with the eyes of failure. You cannot be thinking you are a failure without becoming one. It is important therefore that you believe in yourself.*

*2) If people’s impression of you is on the negative side, please check yourself. You must not live your life by this standard or allow such impressions to define you.*

*3) Let your life be lived in obedience to God’s Words and enabling positive instructions and directives. A man cannot continue in the wrong direction, and desires a result of success. It does not work that way.*

*4) Put in your best in everything you do. Don’t mind what the challenges are, always go for the broke.*

*5) Take opportunities as they come your way seriously. You never can tell what it might bring you. Don’t ever be myopic of opportunities.*

*Wishing you a blessed month, and a purposeful second half of the year.*👍
