*You may be having your burdens to face.*
*You may be having your own load to carry.*
*It may be tough for you going forward, but you must learn to seek the good of others.*
*I am sure Joseph was greatly burdened by his prevailing status of being a prisoner. This was after having passed through the journey of slavery.*
*Don’t forget too that he might have become temperamental because his boss’s wife lied against him, for which he became a prisoner.*
*Despite all these burdens on his shoulder, Joseph still found the will and the drive to seek the good of other people so that it can be well with them :*
*He woke up one day in prison and saw the unhappy faces of the two officials of Pharaoh – the baker and the butler, and he decided to be of help to them :*
*Genesis 40:[6]And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.*
*[7]And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?*
*[8]And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.*
*One major reason why you should seek the good of others while going through your our dose of challenges, is that, it is in seeking the good of others that God will raise solution for your own challenges.*
*Also know that your own challenges, most times, will pale off when compared with the challenges the next fellow is facing.*
*Take for instance, while Joseph was busy looking forward to a life of liberty from captivity in prison, the two officers of Pharaoh : the butler and the baker were scared to death for their lives, not knowing what their imprisonment will lead to. In fact, the baker was eventually killed by Pharaoh :*
*Genesis 40:[20] And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.*
*[22]But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.*
*Know that Joseph was one character who should have become temperamental and emotionally moody going by his experiences of betrayals in the hands of men and women, including his own brothers, but he was NOT.*
*I conclude by encouraging you, no matter what you are going through, seek the good of others, you never can tell what will come out of it.*
