Kidnapped victims
The Kaduna State Police Command has rescued 75 travellers, including women and children, after they were abducted by armed men in the Birnin Gwari area of the state.
The victims were reportedly taken from commercial buses near Folwaya Village on Wednesday and hidden inside a cave in a mountainous forest.
Police operatives, acting on information provided by the Birnin Gwari branch of the NURTW, moved into the area, forcing the kidnappers to flee and abandon their captives.
All 75 victims were rescued unharmed, according to the police.
