Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (SAN), a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and leading governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Osun State residents to remain steadfast in their hope for a better future.
Popularly known as K-RAD, the politician made the call in a statement issued in Osogbo on Wednesday, where he congratulated the people and paid tribute to the resilience and vision of the state’s founding fathers.
He said, “For 34 years, Osun State has stood as a beacon of cultural heritage and intellectual excellence, with immense opportunities for economic development,” he said. “From Ile-Ife, the cradle of Yoruba civilization, to our capital Osogbo and across the 30 local government areas, we have made significant strides in education, agriculture, infrastructure, and governance.”
Noting the achievements recorded over the years, Adegoke emphasized the need for bold and visionary leadership to unlock the state’s full potential.
“The milestone we celebrate today is a testament to the collective will of our people to build a united, progressive, and prosperous Osun,” he noted. “However, the road ahead demands a more proactive, inclusive, and innovative approach to governance.”
Reaffirming his commitment to the development of Osun, K-RAD said his vision—captured in the “Tiwa N Tiwa L’Osun” policy documents and the APC manifesto, focuses on economic revival, job creation, and sustainable development through strategic use of the state’s human and natural resources.
“It is time to translate our rich cultural legacy, fertile lands, and hardworking population into real prosperity for our people,” he added.
The legal luminary also encouraged eligible residents to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Commending both past and present leaders of the state, including the current Governor Ademola Adeleke, Adegoke called for unity and collective effort to move Osun forward.
“Our blueprint, Assured Future (Ọjọ Ola to Daju), outlines a path to economic independence, through partnerships with investors, support for SMEs, and revitalization of key sectors like agriculture, mining, industrialization, and tourism.
“As we celebrate this anniversary, I call on all indigenes of Osun to renew their commitment to the values of unity, hard work, and progress. Together, we can build a state where every child can dream, every youth finds opportunity, and every elder lives with dignity.”
