The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State has reaffirmed that its state assembly and House of Representatives primaries will hold on Sunday, May 22 as earlier scheduled.
A statement by the party’s spokesman in the state, Mr Kennedy Ikantu Peretei, asked that “Social media reports about postponement should be disregarded.”
He said: “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Assembly and House of Representatives Primaries will hold on Sunday, 22nd May, 2022 as earlier announced by the National Organising Secretary, Hon. Umar Bature.”
The statement advised “Journalists to pick up their tags at the Office between now and 10.00pm today.” (Saturday)
