Ondo ex-commissioner Omowumi consoles Deji over Olisa’s death

The departed Senior High Chief Olufemi Sunday Olubodun, the Olisa of Akure (Oke-Lisa).

Ondo State former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development who is also the APC flag bearer for Akure North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Princess Omowunmi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole, has commiserated with the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi over the passing of Senior High Chief Olufemi Sunday Olubodun, the Olisa of Akure (Oke-Lisa).

In a condolence message she signed, she described the news of the death as a painful loss not only to the royal institution but also to the entire Akure Kingdom.

The Akure Princess also extended her condolences to the Akure Traditional Council, and especially the residents of Oke-Lisa (Oke Ilesa), noting that the departed High Chief Olubodun was a respected traditional leader who contributed immensely to peace, unity, and cultural preservation in Akure.

She further acknowledged the fatherly role of His Royal Majesty, Oba Aladelusi, praying that the Almighty grants him divine strength, wisdom, and comfort to uphold the throne with peace and stability during this period of mourning.

She prayed that the royal institution under his leadership will continue to stand as a symbol of unity, cultural heritage, and peaceful coexistence in Akure Kingdom.

According to her, the deceased was a father figure and a pillar of leadership whose legacy would remain deeply rooted in the hearts of the people he served.

The former commissioner further noted that Oke-Lisa remains one of the strong and politically significant communities in Ward 5, with a long-standing reputation for active participation and community strength within Akure North and South Federal Constituency.

The flag bearer also extended heartfelt condolences to all the chiefs in Akure Kingdom, the palace council, the elders of Oke-Lisa, and the entire traditional hierarchy, praying that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

She described the unity and stability that the late High Chief supported within the traditional structure as one that must be preserved in his honor.

Hon. Omowunmi further sympathized with members of the Akure North and South political family, community leaders, and supporters across the constituency, urging them to take solace in the impactful life and service of the departed chief.

She prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul, asking God to grant comfort to his immediate family, the Deji of Akure Kingdom, the chiefs, and the entire Oke-Lisa community, and to uphold the royal institution with continued peace and stability.
