The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State has directed all support groups within the party to register themselves with the State Party Secretariat for proper profiling, coordination, and identification.
In a statement by its state spokesman, Otunba Muyide Kayode, the party said:
*The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State hereby directs all political support groups, interest blocs, and affiliated structures operating within the party to immediately commence formal registration with the State Party Secretariat for proper profiling, coordination, and identification.
“This directive has become imperative in view of the need to consolidate party unity, enforce discipline, and ensure that all groups operate strictly in alignment with the philosophy, programmes, and guiding principles of the APC.
“The party has observed with concern instances where uncoordinated activities by some groups have resulted in actions contrary to party interests, including recent reports of destruction and defacing of party billboards. Such acts are unacceptable and undermine our collective objective.
“The registration exercise will enable the party to:
.Establish a comprehensive database of all support groups for effective coordination
.Ensure adherence to party ideology, discipline, and operational guidelines
.Prevent duplication of roles and unhealthy rivalry among groups
.Strengthen communication channels between the party leadership and grassroots structures
.Enhance mobilization strategies ahead of party primaries and the general elections.
.Enforce compliance with electoral laws and internal party regulations
.Identify genuine party advocates and streamline campaign structures for maximum impact
“Furthermore, this process will provide a structured framework through which all support groups can contribute meaningfully to the party’s programmes without working at cross purposes with the leadership.
“As we approach the forthcoming party primaries and intensify preparations toward securing a resounding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next general election, unity and cohesion within the party remain non-negotiable.
“The APC in Ondo State is fully prepared, under the capable leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to deliver overwhelming victory for our presidential candidate and all APC flag bearers.
“We emphasize that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated exceptional leadership through bold economic reforms and massive infrastructure development initiatives that are already laying a sustainable foundation for national growth and prosperity. It is therefore both strategic and patriotic that all party structures align effectively to ensure the continuity of these transformative policies.
