Nigerian comedian and actor, Julius Agwu, has revealed that he experienced sexual dysfunction after undergoing brain surgery in the United States in 2015.

Agwu made the disclosure while featuring on the Beer Parlour Talk Show, where he spoke about the health crisis that led to the operation and its impact on his life.

The comedian said his sexual function was affected following the surgery, which became necessary after doctors discovered three tumours in his brain.

According to him, one of the tumours was reportedly about the size of a golf ball, prompting the need for the procedure.

Agwu made the revelation while responding to a question about whether his illness and subsequent treatment had affected other parts of his body.

The discussion also touched on the possible relationship between the nerves affected by the condition and the part of the brain involved in the surgery as Agwu recounted some of the physical challenges he experienced afterwards.

Beyond his health struggles, the comedian spoke about his contribution to the Nigerian entertainment industry, particularly his role in popularising music comedy.

Agwu noted that his ability to blend music with comedy had become a distinctive feature of his performances and contributed to his success in the industry.

However, he became emotional while recalling the difficult period surrounding his illness, saying some people he regarded as friends abandoned him when he needed them.

The comedian expressed disappointment over the way some of his associates distanced themselves during his health challenges.
