Avoid distractions please

Reflection for the day

By Olubunmi Adebayo

*Whatsoever a man focuses his attention on, that is what he ended up becoming.**

*This is because your focus engages your mind.*

*You must therefore be careful about what you focus your attention on, even as the journey of this year runs to the.*

*When the devil wanted to steal the glory of man in the garden of Aden, he didn’t tell Eve what God said. Rather the devil watered down the instruction of God by telling the woman :*

*Gen 3: [1] Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?*

*The question statement of the devil above was to cast aspersions on the directive of God, thereby defocusing and distracting the woman.*

*Please know that a man who allows distractions on his vision, will not likely achieve his goals or get to his destination in life.*

*What can one classify as distractions in this context?*

*They are, but not limited to the following :*

*1) The great crowd of needless noise as in the market place around you.*

*2) The ceaseless comments by people who knew next to nothing about specific subject matters going on around you.*
*These people will want to poke their nose into everything about other people’s matters, when their comments can actually derail a man who allows it.*

*3) Comments on the general down turn of things around. This area is so wide that if one is not careful, one can be lost in such comments and commentaries, yet the issues facing you will still be begging for your attention. You derive nothing from joining in such time wasting comments.*

*4) Hustles by others to make ends meet and survive. As they struggle to survive, you must keep up with your positive mindedenedd.*

*5) Gossiping and idle talks about others should not be your business at all.*

*6) Political conspiracy theories, when you have nothing to do with politics, will only dissipate your energy.*

*7) Pay less attention to things that will not add value to your life or determine your destiny.*

*8) Views and comments of haters and slanderers who may disguise as friends around you.*

*Such as mentioned above does not worth your attention or your note of consideration, rather focus your mind and attention on the promises ahead of you and your God-given ability to deliver.*

*At the end, you will begin to see things working out in your favour as you keep your focus on God*

Top of the day to you 👍
