The Asiwaju Tinubu/Shettima Coalition of Good Governance (ATSCGG.) in the South West has congratulated the Secretary of the Directorate of Labour of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC.) of the All Progressives Congress (APC.) and the Coordinator of the Coalition in the South West, Ambassador Sola Iji, as he turns 66.
Besides, it felicitates the ex-envoy whose 66th birthday coincides with the first annual celebration of the conferment on him of the Araba of Igbobini and Araba of Apoi Kingdom chieftaincies.
In a statement on Monday by Iji’s spokesman, Onibudo ‘Wole Iroaye, the Coalition in the South West prays that the ex-envoy will be granted the special grace to experience one of his most joyful and fulfilling birthdays on earth as he marks the double celebrations.
It prayed that ‘the good Lord will continue to shower him with good health, happiness, wisdom, courage, strength and the rare ability to stand at his duty post in an exemplary way and serve diligently both in his private and public lives, so that he will continue to be a blessing to all around him and whoever’s path he crosses.’
Iji, Nigeria’s former ambassador to Togo, ex-Ondo State Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN., which fused into APC., and who hails from Barate Quarters of Igbobini in Ese Odo Local Government Area in Ondo South Senatorial District of Ondo State, was born on 7th November, 1956.
A man with exceptionally rich political and administrative experiences spanning over three decades, who has served as the former chairman of Kwara ACN. Caretaker Committee, is a barrister at Laws, having his Masters of Law in view. He also holds Masters of Science degree (M.Sc.) in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management; Master of Business and Public Administration (MBPA); B.A. English; and IPR. Course Certificate in Public Relations.
He served as Director, Mass Organisations of Hope 93 MKO Abiola for President; Deputy Chief Electoral Officer of Social Democratic Party; Assistant Secretary, NLC./TUC; Secretary National Steering Committee of the defunct Nigeria Labour Party; Member, Swearing-in subcommittee, 2015 Presidential Inauguration Committee; Chairman Akwa Ibom State’s Legislative Appeals Committee; Executive Secretary Food, Beverages & Tobacco Senior Staff Association; and Alliance for Democracy’s Candidate into Ilaje/Ese Odo Federal Constituency among others.
The ex-envoy is a member each of Nigerian Industrial Relations Association; University of Lagos Alumni Association; Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria; and Nigerian Bar Association; Associate member, Nigerian Institute of Management; and that of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK. and Nigeria.
Until his appointment as the Coordinator of the ATSCGG. in the South West, from where he was subsequently appointed into the APC.’s Presidential Campaign Council, Iji was a leading APC.’s Senatorial Aspirant in Ondo South Senatorial District.
