Asiwaju Mandate Group, AMG, a political body coordinating grassroots campaign for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has urged members of the ruling All Progressives Congress to sustain mobilisation nationwide and remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group made the call through its Director General, Chief Olumuyiwa Asagunla at a mega rally in the Ondo North Senatorial District to appreciate Tinubu and the APC National Working Committee led by Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, over the emergence of the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In attendance at the rally were the AMG leaders, coordinators and members from across the state’s 18 Local Government Areas, state executives, women leaders, youth leaders, ward representatives and other stakeholders.
They all reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda at the rally.
In his speech, Asagunla said the rally was organised to appreciate “Tinubu’s leadership and to commend the Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda-led National Working Committee for its handling of the party’s internal processes.”
He said the conduct of the party’s primaries across all levels and its internal processes had strengthened confidence among members and reinforced the APC’s commitment to democratic principles.
According to the Director General, “We are here today to say ‘thank you’ to our leader, President Bola Tinubu, for his unwavering commitment to strengthening our party and providing visionary leadership for our nation.
“We are equally grateful to the National Working Committee under the leadership of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda for ensuring a transparent and credible process that has united our party and produced candidates capable of flying the APC flag with distinction.
“The decisions taken by the leadership of our great party have further deepened the confidence of members in the APC.
“We have every reason to remain united and committed because the process has shown that merit, fairness and internal democracy remain the bedrock of our party.”
Also, Asagunla commended the Interior Minister, Mr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his “commitment to the growth of the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda in Ondo State.”
According to him, the minister had continued to play a role in fostering unity and confidence among party members in the state.
He called on “party members to sustain grassroots mobilisation and remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections.”
Asagunla said the “party’s performance in the polls would depend on the commitment and participation of members” at all levels.
It will be recalled that in September 2025, the AMG declared that at least 2,000 members would work strategically for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
It said the new members would be working as executives in the 203 wards statewide.
AMG had also earlier promised to deliver over one million votes for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
