He gave the pledge on Tuesday in his office in Akure during a courtesy visit by the Alale of Akungba, Oba Isiaka Oseni Adu, and other community leaders,.
The governor said his government is determined to ensure that state institutions, including universities, polytechnics and other tertiary bodies, receive adequate funding to maintain quality education and operational efficiency.
He acknowledged that the institutions had submitted requests for increased running grants and additional resources, adding that while government funds were limited, urgent and critical needs remain the administration’s priority.
“Everybody is asking for more,” he said, noting that universities, ministries, workers, and communities all had legitimate demands that require careful balancing.
The Governor assured that steps are being taken to block leakages and improve revenue generation to release more funds for development, particularly in education, stressing Ondo State’s long-standing reputation for educational excellence.

Earlier, the Alale of Akungba, Oba Isiaka Oseni Adu, lauded the governor for his administration’s impactful interventions in the community, including the Akungba–Ikare road, Okusa Basic Health Centre, and Atiba Market.
The monarch also called for greater inclusion of qualified sons and daughters of Akungba in state civil service positions and urged enhanced funding and oversight for Adekunle Ajasin University to complement the introduction of new professional courses.
