Aiyedatiwa praises Tinubu, security agencies for abducted Oyo pupils, twachers’ rescue

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all security agencies involved in the successful rescue of the pupils and teachers kidnapped in Oyo State.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesman, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor, on behalf of the Government and people of Ondo State, expressed profound relief and gratitude to God for the safe return of the victims.

He applauded President Tinubu for providing decisive leadership and the necessary support that enabled a swift and coordinated response by the security agencies.

Also, he commended the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, the Army, Amotekun and local vigilante groups for their professionalism, bravery, and synergy in securing the release of the pupils and teachers.

He said, “The safe rescue of these pupils and their teachers is a victory for all of us and a testament to the commitment of the Federal Government to protect the lives and property of Nigerians.”

Aiyedatiwa also congratulated his Oyo State counterpart, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on the development.

He further reiterated the commitment of Ondo State to deepening collaboration with neighboring states and federal security agencies to prevent such incidents and to ensure the safety of schools across the region.

Aiyedatiwa prayed for the quick recovery of any of the victims who may have suffered trauma, and assured that Ondo State stands in solidarity with the Government and people of Oyo State during this period.
