Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the August 15, 2026 election, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji, have felicitated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday.
Adeleke, in a congratulatory message issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, described the First Lady as an example of devotion to nation-building and a symbol of excellence.
The governor commended Senator Tinubu’s record of public service and her contributions to the public good, particularly her advocacy for inclusive governance and efforts to promote a society that serves all Nigerians.
He also acknowledged her role in supporting legislation aimed at empowering women and expanding opportunities for young people during her years in the Senate.
Adeleke recalled his working relationship with Senator Tinubu during his own time in the Senate, describing her as an accomplished lawmaker who used legislation to address societal challenges and promote national development.
He said: “I join family, friends and well-wishers to celebrate a symbol of excellence, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the joyous occasion of her 66th birthday.
“Senator Tinubu was a lawmaker par excellence, using legislation to address past failings and setting the pathway for a prosperous future for both the nation and its people.”
In a separate birthday message, Oyebamiji also congratulated the First Lady, describing her as a virtuous woman whose contributions to Nigeria’s socioeconomic development had made a significant impact.
The former Osun Commissioner for Finance commended Senator Tinubu’s political and public service career, as well as her philanthropic activities through her foundation.
Oyebamiji described her as a blessing to humanity and praised her contributions as Lagos State First Lady, a three-term senator and Nigeria’s First Lady.
He said her service had been marked by what he described as compassion for humanity and support for her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of our great party in the state and beyond, I warmly felicitate and heartily rejoice with our mother, leader and the First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 66th birthday,” Oyebamiji said.
He prayed for the celebrant’s continued good health, wisdom and strength to enable her to sustain her contributions to the country.
