Adeleke pledges support for new CP

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has assured the new Commissioner of Police posted to the state, Mohammed Isyaku of the support necessary to effectively combat crime in the state.

He also stressed the need for all security operatives in the state need to work harmoniously to achieve a peaceful and secure environment to maintain adequate security.

The Governor spoke in his office, State Secretariat, Abere, while playing host to the new CP, who paid him a courtesy visit.

Adeleke who was represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi commended the doggedness of the security operatives in the state in maintaining peace and order, saying his deployment to Osun State is a blessing considering his existing technocratic acumen and wealth of experience in combating crime.

He said that security operatives whose duty is to maintain Law and Order in society need to be supported saying the job of effective crime prevention, detection, and control is for all and sundry.

Earlier In his speech, the new CP appreciated the governor for the warm reception and equally assured him of his readiness to beef up security towards tackling criminal activities in the state.

He said that part of his tactics in tackling the menace of crime would be to collaborate with other security agencies and community stakeholders.

The new CP was posted to Osun State on November 10 this year following the retirement of the former occupant of the office.

Among those who received him were: the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Hon Ezekiel Olagoke and Hon. Adekunle Oladunni, a Parliamentarian in the State.
