The member-elect of the House of Representatives for Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Prince Okunjimi Odimayo, has prayed that Nigeria witnesses an economic breakthrough during the incoming Asiwaju Bola Tinubu administration.
While celebrating the Eid-el-Fitr with the Muslims in a message, he also prayed that the nation will experience peace and prosperity, saying: “As Nigerians, we pray that the Almighty Allah (SWT) accept our ibadat and use our fasting, prayers, and worship during the holy month to have mercy upon our Nation, give us peace and tranquility as a people and put an end to the spate of killing, kidnapping, terrorism, abduction, robbery, poverty, wants and other vices mitigating against the speedy development of our country, Nigeria. Inshallah.
“I pray, as we’re going into a new administration at the Central to be led by the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, may the Almighty Allah (SWT) grant us peaceful transition and bountiful blessings and Economic breakthrough during the reign of the new administration; and as individuals, grant all our secret prayers with sound health to celebrate more Eid el-Fitr in happiness, plenty wealth and unlimited joy.”
In the message which he signed, he commended the Muslims for holding strongly, putting trust and total commitment to the teachings and lessons of the Quran during the Ramadan fasting during which as he noted, there were lots of prayers, worship, teachings, denial of food and worldly things, and lectures, accompanied by kindness, abundant blessing, and love by the faithful.
He prayed that after prayers, worship, and supplication during the fasting, Nigerians be kept away from heedlessness “so that we can continue to live without sin; and in love, peace, harmony, and unity, and be our brothers’ keepers.”
Odimayo said: “I wish to use this unique and special period of Eid el-Fitr celebration to once again, reach out to all my Ikale kinsmen worldwide, to pledge my strong commitment to the purposeful representation of our people at the Green Chamber of National Assembly from June 2023, with your prayers and total support.
“I also wish all our Muslim clerics, Alfas, Imams, scholars, friends, brothers and sisters, happy celebrations and many more opportunities to witness such a special day like today, in God’s love, sound health, joyful moments, and service to Ondo State, Nigeria and humanity in general.
The Irele-born politician who was elected on the ruling APC platform in the February 25 election, also greeted Muslims across Ondo State, particularly in Okitipupa and Irele council areas, urging them to expect huge rewards and bountiful blessings of the Almighty Allah (SWT) after observing the Ramadan.
