*As indicated yesterday, we shall today be looking at the waiting period in the life of a man before the harvest comes.*
*What do we mean by waiting period?*
*This is the period between the sowing time and the harvest time.*
*The waiting period for every man is determined by God’s prerogative, and what the man does while waiting.*
*But there are some basic things that you and I must note, and put into consideration while waiting. Some of them are as follows :*
*1) Never be in a hurry for your harvest. If you are in a hurry, you stand the chance of your harvest being prematurely gathered. Remember the young man who approached his Dad for his own portion of the father’s inheritance in Lk 15:11-32?*
*He ended up wasting his inheritance with riotous living in a far but strange land. Inheritance is a demand that should come after the death of the father, but decided to gather his harvest prematurely.*
*2) During your period of waiting, don’t operate with a predetermined mindset. Always remember that you may do good to a black person, only for a white man to repay you. You may also sow your seed in the morning, and the harvest will not come until midnight time.*
*3) Every harvest will follow its procedure : the seed must be planted, allowed to die, the outgrowth from such must germinate, grow up, be well nurtured, before fruiting, and harvest following thereafter.*
*4) Let your attitude be positive and hopeful as you wait and engage in other life activities and assignments.*
*5) Never be over – agitated when your harvest delayed in coming. Never be over-self pushing for your harvest.*
*Remember, your harvest can be :*
*A reward for deed done.*
*A promotion well deserved.*
*A commendation worthwhile.And*
*A recognition well merited.*
*May I shock you with this parting truth? Some harvests may NOT even come through in a man’s lifetime – MOST ENSURING HARVESTS, DON’T COME IN A MAN’S LIFETIME. Ponder on this please :*
*Romans 4:[13] For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.*
*[16]Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,*
*[17](As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.*
*[18]Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.*
*Harvest is good as a reward of seed time, but you must learn to wait for it in trust, hope and prayers.*
Do have a wonderful time before The Lord today 👍
