A video circulating on social media has purportedly shown suspected bandits using a rocket-propelled grenade launcher while preparing semolina at a camp.
The footage was shared on Sunday by conflict reporter and security advocate, D English Alhaji, on Facebook.
In the video, individuals believed to be members of a bandit group are seen around what appears to be a camp, with an RPG launcher reportedly being used in the process of preparing the meal.
The circumstances surrounding the footage, including where and when it was recorded, were not immediately established.
The video emerged amid continued security concerns in parts of northern Nigeria, where armed groups have carried out attacks, abductions and other criminal activities.
Bandit groups have continued to pose security challenges in several communities, particularly in rural areas, with residents, motorists and travellers among those affected by attacks.
The activities of the groups have also disrupted livelihoods, displaced residents and heightened concerns over the safety of communities in affected areas.
