The new Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji, FEDPOLEL, in Ondo State, Mr. Joseph Adebayo Fadeji, has been charged to contribute significantly from his wealth of experience and expertise to the ongoing efforts aimed at achieving the institution’s collective goals.
Giving this charge at the reception held on Thursday for the new registrar, the Rector, Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, specifically challenged him to deploy his abilities towards building the institution into a stronger, more effective, innovative and respected citadel of learning.
He described the occasion as the beginning of a new chapter for the overall development of the institution.
Ebeloku, who was represented by the Deputy Rector, Dr. Samson Adehuga Omogbehin, said this was also an opportunity for the Institution to extend its hands of fellowship, goodwill and support to the institution’s administration.
These were contained in a statement by the institution’s Deputy Registrar, Information, Protocol & Passages, Mr Sanmi Enigbokan.
In his speech at the occasion, the Rector, while recognising the weight of responsibility that comes with the office of the Registrar, stressed the importance of teamwork and collective commitment to the attainment of the Institution’s goals.
Ebeloku expressed confidence in Fadeji’s wealth of experience, administrative competence, professionalism and commitment to service, noting that these qualities would enable him to make meaningful contributions to the continued growth and development of the Institution.
Also, he assured the new Registrar of the support and cooperation of Management, while calling on members of staff to extend the necessary cooperation and support to him for the successful discharge of his responsibilities.
Responding, Fadeji expressed his appreciation to the Governing Council for his appointment and to the Management, Staff and Students of the Polytechnic for the warm reception accorded him.
He pledged to contribute his quota to the continued progress and development of the Institution.
Also, he thanked his family members, mentors, colleagues, friends, clergymen and other well-wishers who graced the occasion, assuring them that he did not take their presence, goodwill and warm hospitality for granted.
According to the statement, “Highlights of the event included an exhortation and goodwill messages.
“Mr. Olatunde Dada of the Bursary Department delivered the exhortation, during which he admonished the new Registrar to seek divine guidance and intervention in the discharge of his new responsibilities.
“This was followed by a prayer session led by the Bursar, Mr. Sehinde Ebenezer Olabode, and Revd. David Olukayode-Ige.
“Goodwill messages were delivered by the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Fasa Rachael Aladeniyi, on behalf of Management; the Registrar, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Prince Abiodun Oyedele Oloyede; the Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), FEDPOLEL Chapter, Dr. Adewunmi Ademola; the Chairman, ASUP, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Chapter, TPL. Sikiru Folorunsho; Revd. Mrs. Grace Foluke Kayode-Ige; and the Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Ile-Oluji Chapter, Mr. Festus Boluwatife Ogunruku.
“Mr. Fadeji is a seasoned administrator with over twenty-five years of cognate administrative experience in the polytechnic system.
“He is a certified member of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (MICA), a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), and an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR).
“He is happily married to Mrs. Victoria Oluwatoyin Fadeji, and the union is blessed with children.
“The entire Polytechnic Community wishes Mr. Joseph Adebayo Fadeji a successful, impactful and rewarding tenure as Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State.”
Enigbokan said the reception, which was held at the Institution’s 1,500-capacity Multipurpose Auditorium, attracted dignitaries from within and outside the Institution, including members of Management, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, Divisions and Units, Registry staff, family members of the new Registrar, and well-wishers from the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Osun State.
