*Take it or leave it, every man, will face the judgement of his deeds in life.*
*Hear the Word of God :*
*Gal 6: [7] “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.*
*All mortals should know that we have the judgement of God and the judgement of men to face.*
*There is a level a man gets to in life that the only justice he faces, will be the judgment of God – this was the level king David got to when he committed adultery with Bathsheba, and still went ahead to kill Uriah the husband.*
*Maybe David thought because he was the king, he could get away with just anything. He forgot that there is a God who sees all, and judges all :*
*”Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.” (Prov.11:12)*
*No doubt, man normally fears the judgment of his fellow men.*
*This is because the judgment of men can be so instantaneous.*
*It can be so damning.*
*It can be quite heavy.*
*The judgement of men can at times be so shameful to face.*
*In fact, it can terribly set a man backwards in his endeavours.*
*Please note that the consequences of negative conduct can be very serious indeed.*
*Let us look at the judgment of God :*
*It can also appear as listedm above : for example, in the case of instantaneous judgment, go and read the story of Uzzah who tried to steady the Ark of God, and got killed instantaneously.*
*The focus of our Reflections today is the fact that every man will face the judgment of God one day – sooner or later.*
*Facing the judgment of God, though it may be slow in coming, is not something any man should ever joke with – both mighty and the lowly placed :*
*”For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.”( Jer 25:29)*
*Oftentimes, when a man gets to the point of facing the judgment of God, there is no more opportunity to remedy the situation for him. Even where and when such a man refuses to speak at all to the allegation raised against him, it still does not change anything.*
*Let’s go back to where we started from – there is a level a man gets to in life that the only justice he will face, is indeed the judgment of God.*
*A Yoruba adage says : it is God only that judges a man who uses his teeth to share meat meant for other people.*
*A man who does not fear God in the execution of his actions, is worse than any criminal – he is an ally of the devil.*
*The day the wife of his master : Mrs Portipher set up Joseph so that he could sleep with her, it was this fear of God that helped him out – because there was nobody at home.*
*Don’t think you are not at the level of Joseph yet. Don’t even think you are not at the head of an organization yet, hence you are not meant to face this judgment of God.*
*A boy of 10 years, at Primary Class 5 may decide to corner all the biscuits meant for his junior brother in Primary Class 1, thinking the younger boy will not be wise enough to report him to their parents.*
*But he should remember that the greatest monitor to keep a man going and sustained in life is the fear of God – which guides the action of the senior brother above.*
*When critically tested, if a staffer under you fails the examination of the fear of God, please be careful with him.*
*The same thing goes for your House girl, if she fails the examination of the fear of God, don’t bother to hire her, and where you have hired her already, please be careful how you commit sensitive and critical matters into her hands.*
*Permit me to conclude by asking you this question – “In the face of the reality that all men will face the judgement of God, how much of the fear of God in your heart guides your actions?”*
Top of the day to you 👍
