The Osogbo Accord Media Force (OAMF) has dismissed rumours and legal concerns surrounding the status of the Accord Party in Osun State, describing them as baseless propaganda aimed at distracting voters ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

In a statement issued on Friday the group declared that no political force or intimidation could stop the re-election bid of Governor Ademola Adeleke on August 15, 2026.

OAMF maintained that the Accord platform remains a legally recognised political party, insisting that all constitutional and procedural requirements have been duly met.

“The Accord platform is intact, lawful, and fully recognised. No force, no manipulation, and no political intimidation can stop Governor Adeleke’s re-election,” the statement read.

The group alleged that those spreading uncertainty about the party’s status were motivated by fear of Adeleke’s growing popularity and acceptance among residents of the state.

According to OAMF, internal party processes, including primaries, were conducted in line with due process and monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as well as accredited observers.

It further argued that attempts to rely on legal technicalities and court actions would not alter what it described as the already established will of the people.

“Those banking on courtroom distractions will fail because Osun people have made up their minds to renew Governor Adeleke’s mandate,” the group stated.

OAMF called on voters to disregard what it termed “fear tactics and fake narratives,” urging them to turn out in large numbers to support the governor at the polls.

The group also took a swipe at the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, describing the election as a contest between “progress and failed politics.”

It concluded that no level of political manoeuvring would override the collective will of the electorate, expressing confidence that the governor’s second-term bid was already on course.
