*B) Humility ensures you win the Battle of Leadership : Leading other people is tough and challenging. But humility ensures you lead without crushing them or discourage them.*
*When a man begins to lead, his influence grows, and when your influence begins to grow, human excesses start appearing, but not when humility is the one taking charge.*
*Jesus Christ said :*
*Luke 22: [25] And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.*
*[26]But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.*
*Humility helps great leaders to operate like servant leaders. Check it out in the lives of Abraham who called his cousin – Lot, to pick his lot of land ahead of himself. We also saw humility in action in the lives of Joshua, Moses, David. Humility makes you listen to your team, admit your mistakes, and give credit where necessary. People will follow humble leaders in facing tough times together, and trust will not be an issue. Arrogant leaders lose loyalty. Humble leaders build it.*
*C) Humility ensures you overcome the challenge of Relationships: Be it in your marriage, family and friendship, workplace, the power of offense, misunderstandings, and the need to “win” arguments is brought under control through the power of humility.*
*Take for instance, humility makes it easy for a man to apologize first. It also let you see the other person’s view. It suppresses any spirit of resentment in you. It crushes bitterness too.*
*Most relationships do not crash on the account of very mighty issues, but due to lack of humility to say a simple sorry where you need to.*
*D) Humility helps you to reverse failure and Setbacks :*
*Losing a job, business, exam, or such opportunities are critical issues of life that humility helps a man to navigate easily.*
*Pride will make a man say “this shouldn’t have happened to me”, but humility will say“What can I learn? Where did I miss it? Who can help me? What is the way forward”?*
*This type of attitude turns failure into a learning process and eventually a “falling forward”. In this type of situation, you recover quickly and far better.*
*E) Humility helps in overcoming the challenge of Comparison.*
*We all want to feel like others who are doing quite well at every particular junction of our lives. Seeing others succeeding without you feeling less takes a lot of humility.*
*Humility will keep reminding you that the successes of others don’t cancel your own.*
*You end up celebrating others genuinely, while you look forward to your own day of celebration.*
*F) Humility steadies your journey of life :*
*Without any controversy, waiting periods are challenging periods. Delayed promises are difficult for some people to handle because their understanding of God’s timing is not sufficiently deep.*
*Humility therefore helps in reminding them that they don’t need to force the doors open. That they don’t need to cut corners. They don’t need to quit when God is still working. Joseph had to wait for several years for his dreams to be fulfilled.*
*Humility keeps you subdued while in the waiting room being prepared for your next level.*
*F) Humility helps a man to manage the challenge of Success:*
*Managing success is the most difficult thing for some people to do. But not where humility is at work.*
*Money, power, position, title, applause, victories and the likes are not easy to manage. Always remember that success makes many men proud and careless. But humility keeps you grateful and dependent on God. Humility prevents a man from going the way of King Nebuchadnezzar :*
*Daniel 4:[29] At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.*
*[30]The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?*
*[31]While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.*
*[32]And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.*
*Humility is a great virtue. It is a character that lets God fight for you, lets people help you, and lets you learn from everything around you.*
