The further you move away from all that is dark, that had imprisoned you, that had held you firmly;
And strive after only that which is good, the further you distance yourself from the Darkness in which you had been nestling.
In which you had embedded yourself. The weaker and weaker its influence over you.
As you continue moving away from all that is dark, and more vigorously after only the good, the weaker the ties binding you to evil loosen and weaken.
The more the Darkness and its minions lose. The more it brightens around you.
As your distance from the Darkness increases, over time, the ties will weaken, loosen up, lose their robustness, shrivel up, fall off and die off.
And you will become free of its oppressive ties, hold and influence.
It is like the silver cord connecting the soul with the physical body, trailing the soul as it moves away from the physical body at death.
This cord shrivels, and falls off some days after physical death. The free soul, now more determined than ever, strives more vigorously upwards towards the Light alone.
It does not allow any further impediment or hindrance, ties, or encumbrances.
The freed soul is now resolutely unprepared to carry, or bear additional burden, or weight even as light as a feather.
Nor any further attachment to the old discarded body and the link.
Now it is the naked soul exclusively wanting to embark on its journey upwards to the Light alone.
Be like this freed soul.
