The equation of efforts plus sacrifice

Reflection for the day

By Olubunmi Adebayo

*A man who is not ready to pay the price for his vision, is a man who is not ready to achieve anything.*

*When Prophet Habakkuk sent the message below to his Israeli compatriots, he was telling them that sacrifice was what would bring vision to fruition. Hear him please :*
*Hab. 2: [3] “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.*

*Know it – every success is a product of sacrifice.*

*Every big leap is birthed by giving up something to get that which is desirable.*

*When you see a man who consistently fails, check his life very well, you will likely see a man who cares less about paying the appropriate sacrifice needful and necessary for his journey of life.*

*Success becomes mere wishful thinking when sacrifice is missing from the equation.*

*No force of progression is ever ignited without the force of inertia being overcome first.*

*A lot of destinies have been abandoned by the road side of life because of the failure to make the required sacrifice essential for their own progress.*

*For Peter the fisherman, the son of Jonah, after a great and unbelievable catch, it was leaving his great harvest, his boat, his nets, and his father to follow after Jesus that was the sacrifice he needed to pay for him to become Apostle Peter that we all refer to today.*

*For Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, it was abandoning his flourishing academic career as a university lecturer with a potential of becoming the youngest Vice Chancellor in Africa for pastoral full time calling, that was the sacrifice he needed to pay, and this was among other sacrifices.*

*Sacrifice calls for inconveniences on the part of a man. Sacrifice pushes you to the points of pains and agonies at times.*

*To some people, they find the sacrifice they have to pay too alluring to abandon or let go. But this, most of the time, is a case of one holding on to a river, but missing out on the gifting of an ocean ahead.*

*May I also tell you that for anyone that wants to have a close and intimate relationship with God his Creator, the sacrifice for such is a life of purity, consecration and devotion.*

*Several believers today desire to raise the dead, heal the sick, call to bear the things that are not, as if they are, yet they are not thirsty for a close relationship with God, the Giver of all gifts and power. Such men and women may well be deceiving themselves, looking for magic, and not miracles.*

*Please know this : no pain, no gain. The more sacrifice a man is willing to make, the brighter his chances at succeeding in the journey of life, take it, or leave it.*

Good day to you 👍
