Nigeria has sent buses to war-torn Sudan to evacuate its stranded nationals, who are mainly students.
This was confirmed by the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NIDCOM, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who said that the students were undergoing registration.
She shared photographs of the students on Twitter, saying: “As our students in Sudan queued up orderly to board their buses to Egypt enroute to Nigeria, supervised by Nigerian mission officials in Sudan. Let’s remember them in our prayers as they journey home. War is a terrible thing !!”
