Fuji music maestro, Ayinla Kollington, has declared that the delectable Waka Queen Salawa Abeni Ibiwumi remains his wife forever despite her marriage to another man.
He told Tejubabyface in an interview, that irrespective of their separation for many years, and Abeni’s current relationship with another man, he still considers her his wife.
Killington stressed that their enduring bond is strengthened through their three children.
He said, “That is how God wants it to be. She has three children with me; she is more than just a concubine. She is my wife for life”.
Kollington also touched on the challenges of maintaining relationships in the public eye, noting that the attention female celebrities receive from admirers can strain partnerships.
“She is a celebrity. And just like women chase after male stars, male fans also throw themselves at female stars. But a woman’s understanding is limited,” he stated.
He said their connection endures despite external factors.
“No matter what I am doing, she always turns up. She’s still my wife. The person she is currently with is only loaning her,” he added.
The loveable songstress recently turned 64, with her colleague female Waka singers organizing a surprise birthday bash for her.
