Drones will be used to monitor today’s governorship election in Ondo State according to the State Police Command.
The Command said in a statement on its X handle on Saturday morning that drones would be flying around the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office and also some polling units.
Urging the public not to be afraid if they see drones flying around, it said “If you see a drone flying around INEC Office and some of the polling units, don’t get scared, the drones are Police Drones for election monitoring. Thanks.”
Already, INEC and security agencies have perfected preparations for the election as eligible voters in the state are eager to determine the fate of the 18 candidates contesting for the position.
