Osun State Primary Health Care Development Board (OSPHCDB) has received a donation of essential drugs from New Height Pharmaceutical to support healthcare delivery across primary healthcare centres in the state.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr Shina Igbalaye, received the drugs on behalf of the State Government during a ceremony held alongside a fun fair organised by the management and staff of the Board to celebrate the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The donation was formally presented by the Business Executive of New Height Pharmaceutical, Opeyemi Adeyemi, who represented the company at the event.
Receiving the donation, Igbalaye expressed appreciation to New Height Pharmaceutical for the gesture, describing it as a valuable contribution to efforts by the Adeleke administration to strengthen primary healthcare services and improve the availability of essential medicines in health facilities across the state.
He said the donation would complement the state government’s investments in the health sector, particularly its efforts to improve access to quality and affordable healthcare for residents at the grassroots.
According to him, the availability of essential medicines remains critical to effective primary healthcare delivery, especially for residents who depend on government-owned health facilities for basic medical services.
Igbalaye also commended the management and staff of the Board for their dedication and commitment to the development of primary healthcare in the state.
He said the celebration of the governor’s re-election provided an opportunity for members of staff to appreciate what he described as the administration’s support for the primary healthcare sector.
He urged the staff to remain committed to their responsibilities and continue to put the interests of residents at the centre of their activities.
Speaking during the presentation, Adeyemi reaffirmed New Height Pharmaceutical’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving public health and strengthening healthcare delivery.
He said the company would continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders and support programmes capable of improving access to healthcare and promoting healthier communities.
The event also featured a fun fair organised by the management and staff of the OSPHCDB to mark Governor Adeleke’s re-election victory.
The celebration ended in an atmosphere of excitement and unity, with staff members expressing appreciation for the administration’s support while reaffirming their commitment to advancing primary healthcare services across Osun State.
