Detectives of the Osun State Police Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the killing of the NURTW Unit 4 chairman in Ilesa, Adeboye Ademoroti, popularly known as Germani.

Ademoroti was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Olomilagbala area of Ilesa. He and another man were reportedly ambushed, and passersby rushed them to a hospital, where Ademoroti was confirmed dead on arrival.

Police spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, said cartridges were recovered from the scene and assured that operatives are on the trail of the killers.

Meanwhile, Governor Ademola Adeleke has condemned the incident and the rising political violence in the state. In a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, he directed security agencies to clamp down on troublemakers.

The killing comes as police continue investigating the deaths of FRSC officer Funmilayo Lasisi and her daughter, whose mutilated remains were discovered in a suspect’s hideout in Osun after they were declared missing in Ogun State.
