Osun LG Chairman Vows to Drive Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at Grassroots, Presents ₦3.9b 2026 Budget

Chairman of Ife East Area Council in Osun State, Hon. Adekunle Adewumi, has pledged to domesticate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at the grassroots level.

He made the promise as he presented a ₦3.9 billion budget for the 2026 fiscal year to the Council’s legislative arm.

In a statement made available to journalists, Adewumi disclosed that the appropriation bill was formally presented before the Council’s Legislative Arm, led by the Leader of the House, Hon. Adekunle Adeyeye, at the council secretariat.

He explained that the budget is structured to promote sustainable development, enhance service delivery, and address the key socio-economic needs of residents of Ife East Area Council.

According to him, the budget is aligned with the Renewed Hope vision of inclusive governance, fiscal discipline, and grassroots transformation, with priority areas including infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery, youth empowerment, and improved administrative efficiency.

His words, “The intention of this budget is to further support the reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Once approved, I am committed to driving the Renewed Hope Agenda at the grassroots.

This is the most effective way for residents to feel the impact of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government.”

Responding, the Leader of the House, Hon. Adekunle Adeyeye, commended the Executive Arm for the timely presentation of the budget and assured that the Legislative Council would give the proposal a thorough consideration in the overall interest of the council and its residents.
