Osun State Government has further demonstrated its commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery with the donation of a state-of-the-art 4D Ultrasound Machines to the State Specialist Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo, by the Osun Health Insurance Agency (OHIS).

At the occasion, Governor Ademola Adeleke, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Bobagunwa Igbalaye, described the donation as “a remarkable milestone in the advancement of healthcare delivery in Osun State.”

He noted that the gesture was not just a donation but a clear testament to the collective commitment of government agencies to improving the lives of the people through modern healthcare services.

His words, “Our unrivaled dedication to the health and well-being of our people has set a new standard for governance in Osun State. From the revitalization of healthcare facilities to the strengthening of health insurance schemes, we are ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic status.”

The governor commended the leadership of the Chairman of OHIS, Dr. Muiwa Oladimeji, and the Executive Secretary, Dr. Rasaq Akindele, for what he described as their “innovative approach and tireless commitment” which have made OHIS a beacon of hope for thousands of enrollees across the state.

He emphasized that the newly donated 4D Ultrasound Machine would greatly enhance diagnostic precision, facilitate early detection of health conditions, and ultimately improve health outcomes for residents of the state.

“This advanced technology means better health outcomes, reduced medical costs, and improved quality of life for our people. It is another step forward in our mission to make Osun a model for healthcare excellence in Nigeria,” he added.

Adeleke congratulated OHIS, the management and staff of the State Specialist Hospital, Asubiaro, and all stakeholders for making the milestone possible, calling on them to sustain the collaborative spirit that continues to strengthen the state’s healthcare sector.

He called for continued collective effort: “Let us continue to work hand in hand to build a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous Osun State.”
