My door is open to all – Jegede

Ondo State Politics
  • says he is not for PDP alone

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Ondo State, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, has promised to accommodate all those having genuine interest in his candidature, regardless of their political parties.

A statement by the Head, Media Research, Eyitayo Jegede Campaign Organisation, EJCO, Mr Samuel Fasua, said that he gave the assurance at the party’s secretariat in Akure during a session with stakeholders of the party.

He noted that since he is seeking the mandate of the entire people of Ondo State, it would be self-defeating to alienate any segment of the society in the campaign process.

He therefore tasked all his party leaders and members in the state to operate an open-door policy, by admitting as many people as wish to vote for the PDP to effect the needed transformation in the state.

Jegede’s words: “Once you get back home, open your doors and accommodate all those who genuinely show interest, irrespective of their political parties.

“As you must have noticed with the coming on board of Accord Party, many are still on their way; they will meet us in peace and together we shall march on to victory.” he enthused.

Urging party members to bond in unity, regardless of who they worked for in the pre-primary election era, he also said, “The primary is over, and whatever happened before and during the process is over.

“Regardless of where individuals worked and the different aspirants we all supported, the PDP is now one.

“Let’s go back home where the work is, to bring out the votes and in the next few days, the structure that will represent the yearnings and aspirations of members to get the job done up to the unit level, will be announced.”
