*It was as if he had been forgotten in life.*
*It was as if he had been left behind.*
*It was as if the prophecy would not come to pass.*
*And it was as if the enemy would triumph for ever:*
*He was hated by the same people who should have loved him.*
*He was lied against by the person his life was being spent to please.*
*He was forgotten by the person who promised and pledged to do something urgently about his case.*
*But in all these things, JOSEPH kept faith alive!*
*When he said the following words, he was only keeping hope alive :*
*Genesis 40: [14] “But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:*”
*[15] “For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon”.*
*Please you must do everything humanly possible within your means and power to keep hope alive – so much about a man’s life depends on this.*
*This is because hope is the self assurance that what you desire will happen the way you wanted it. In any case that the assurance of a man is gone, it is always difficult to make progress or go forward in such a given situation.*
*Hope is also the state of maintaining a sense of expectation that something will happen the way you wanted it.*
*Just as explained by the Word of God in Heb.11: 1 – “Hope is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”*
*Again, it was hope alive, no matter what would come up against generations upon generations after him, that made Joseph speak like this to his people :*
*Genesis 50: [24] “And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob”.*
*[25] “And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence”.*
*Always remember that you can’t limit a man of HOPE, since a man of HOPE is a man of possibility.*
*Also, a man of HOPE is a man with the mind that “it can be done”.*
*For whatever you may be going through at the present moment, please don’t lose hope.*
*When hope is lost, as they used to say, “everything is lost”.*
*But when there is hope, everything is a possibility – just a matter of time.*
Top of the day to you
