Civil servants backbone of govt – Adeleke

Osun state Governor Ademola Adeleke has noted that for any administration to succeed in all its programs, policies and activities, the love and support of civil servants are needed.

He spoke while solidarising with the state’s civil servants on the occasion of this year’s civil service week celebrations.

He described the workforce in Osun as an engine room and the needed pillar of support whose worth and influence cannot be toyed with,

Adeleke, represented by the state’s deputy governor, Prince Kola Adewusi disclosed this at the Staff Development Center Abere , venue of this year’s Civil Service Week organized by the Nigeria Civil Service Union, Osun State branch in conjunction with the Ministry of Human Resources and Capacity Development in the Office of the state Head of Service.

The governor who was also publicly honored and decorated with an award of excellence by thr Comrade Arapasopo-led NCSC, as the Most Worker Friendly Governor in Osun State, implored all workers to continue to be diligent and efficient, stressing that hardwork would from time to time be adequately rewarded by his administration.

The state’s Head of service, Mr. Ayanleye Aina, who was also publicly acknowledged and awarded an award of excellence for changing the face of Osun state civil service for good, appreciated and commended the efforts of the Adeleke-led administration for puting the welfare of workers as the priority on its list, appreciated the approval granted by the governor for the training and retraining of workers in the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government in the state

Earlier, the host who is also the Chairman, NCSU in the state, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo declared the readiness of Osun workers to continue to allign positively with the policies, programmes and activities of the administration just as he thanked the governor for making the welfare of workers a priority.

There were also goodwill messages by executives of the national body of the NCSC, TUC and JNC in the state who also lauded the Adeleke administration.

About 70 workers drawn from different Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government including Mr. Moshood Suleiman, the Director, Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment were honoured with Osun State Civil Service Merit Award 2023 for their diligence, commitment and dedication to duty in their various places of work .
