The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its manifesto ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, with its candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, pledging inclusive governance and equitable use of the state’s resources.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony on Friday in Osogbo, Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, assured residents that his administration would not sectionalise resources but ensure they are deployed for the benefit of all.

“We will strengthen financial management and ensure that public resources are used for the benefit of all. I can assure you that we will not sectionalise the resources of the state,” he said.

He explained that the manifesto, tagged “PROSPER,” is aimed at repositioning Osun on the path of sustainable growth and restoring its pride among states in the federation. He added that rebuilding public confidence in government would be central to his administration.

Oyebamiji outlined key priorities, including revitalising agriculture, improving education, and strengthening the public sector.

According to him, agriculture will serve as a major driver of economic growth, with a focus on achieving food security.

“Agriculture will be a driving force for the state, especially to banish hunger and produce enough to feed the populace. We will anchor our growth on agricultural output to sustain development,” he stated.

On education, he promised to modernise infrastructure and strengthen technical and vocational training, alongside recruiting, training, and supporting teachers to improve learning outcomes.

He also pledged to create a fair, supportive, and motivating work environment in the public sector, with emphasis on continuous training and retraining of workers.

Earlier, the Osun APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, described the manifesto as a “covenant with the people,” reflecting the party’s readiness to deliver purposeful governance.

“Today’s unveiling is not just a political ritual. It is a commitment to restore good governance, revive our local economy, and return power to the grassroots,” Lawal said.

He noted that the document captures the aspirations of residents across the state’s 30 local government areas and the area office, with strong emphasis on security, job creation, agriculture, education, healthcare, and local government autonomy.

Lawal also rallied support for Oyebamiji, describing him as a seasoned administrator with the competence and capacity to lead the state.

“He is a unifier with a proven track record in both public and private service. His emergence clearly shows that our party is ready for governance and ready to win,” he added.

The APC chieftain urged party members, stakeholders, and supporters to remain united and committed, stressing that discipline and hard work would be critical to securing victory at the polls.

“With this people-oriented manifesto and a credible candidate, we are confident of victory. Together, we will build an Osun that works for all,” Lawal said.

The unveiling of the manifesto marks a significant step in the APC’s campaign as political activities intensify ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
